PM Surya Ghar Scheme Eligibility Exclusions

The revamped Solar Rooftop Subsidy Scheme, Suryoday Yojana was announced on 22nd January 2024. On the same day, PM Modi had inaugurated Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

In the evening, after a meeting in Delhi, PM announced the Suryoday Yojana on twitter. In this tweet he clearly mentioned that the scheme will benefit the medium and lower (income) group.

Income Criteria Exclusions

If your annual income exceeds 1.5 Lakhs per annum, you are not eligible to be part of this scheme.

Previous Subsidy Recipients

If you have already availed the subsidy benefit from Solar Rooftop scheme, you can’t be part of this scheme.

Other Disqualifying Factors

If the applicant is unable to present/provide required documentation, he/she will not be able to apply and will be declared ineligible.

Exploring Disqualifications for PM Surya Ghar Yojana

  1. People belonging to High-Income Group
  2. Government Employees
  3. Applicant who does not have required rooftop area.
  4. Non- Permanent Citizens of India.
